Leadership Engagement
Your managers are your lead communicators - whether they know it or not. Are your leaders effectively communicating, engaging and inspiring your people?
Northwell Health had a massive challenge on its hands: the hospital system's 3,000 front-line managers didn't see themselves as leaders. With hospital reimbursements predicated on customer satisfaction, the health system had to engage managers to lead their teams to deliver better experiences for patients - or face lower reimbursements. During my tenure there as Head of Organizational Communications, I executed a long-term communications strategy to increase leadership engagement on the front-lines. The multi-faceted campaign "Success is a Reflection of Leadership" came to life over two years, with print, digital and in-person communications that delivered results and exceeded expectations. Toolkit for Leaders - an "Owners Manual"
This takeaway Guide for Leaders was printed and available digitally in theme with the campaign "driving healthcare forward."

Recognition & Rewards drives customer satisfaction
Research shows that authentic, real-time recognition is one of the top influencers of employee engagement which drives customer satisfaction. Brighton Health Plan Solutions, a start-up health plan management company, was in the midst of a culture transformation with a new parent company, new CEO and a workforce of 250 who were struggling to adjust to the change. Employee engagement was at an all-time low, particularly with respect to "recognition and rewards." ab built and launched Brighton Rewards – an employee recognition program tied to the organization’s new mission, vision, and values–engaging employees and leaders to live the values and recognize team members to reshape the Company’s culture.

The program increased recognition by more than 600% month-over-month and customer satisfaction rose in just three months. The campaign was recognized as "highly commended" from the North American Employee Engagement Awards.
Start-up Branding
Interlock Financial is a start-up independent financial advisory firm based in Westport, CT. With the founder leaving a firm to start his own practice, there was a need to build a personal brand that differentiated him, and gave his existing clients confidence in the change. With only a company name and one month to execute, ab Interactions created the logo, brand positioning, a website, blog content, letterhead, business cards, the client announcement and an introductory video. Zero clients were lost, and the business continues to grow.

Interlock Financial successfully launched with a professional look & feel, and a strong digital presence. The Founder was thrilled with the results as were his clients who remained with him through the transition.
Health Advocacy Launch
The Heart Smart Movement is a health advocacy campaign inspired by a book, Heart Smart for Women: Six S.T.E.P.S. in Six Weeks to Heart-Healthy Living. The authors needed a digital platform to spread awareness of their book, and to begin a heart health movement promoting heart disease prevention among women. I produced the website, launched their Instagram and Twitter accounts, wrote content and helped to execute the Book Launch event including producing all signage, gift bags and a custom bookmark driving to the book's Amazon review.
The campaign produced successful results with high digital engagement rates, exceeding all goals.
Video & Animation
Research shows that people are far more likely to remember a story than a data point or a lengthy written message.

We help companies tell their story in ways that quickly capture attention and enhance interactions. Not all videos need to be slick productions - we'll work with you to determine the best channel to inspire action - from a social media video, to a simple animation to a fully produced video.
Employee Engagement Survey Results Video
Why talk about data points and numbers, when you can show it? This video animation was shown before a town hall meeting led by the CEO. Employees said it was one of the only times they ever "truly understood" employee engagement survey results, and felt confident the company heard them.

Small Business Branding & Social Media Launch
Travel with Jamie was a successful independent travel agent, getting her clients mostly from word-of-mouth referrals and Facebook. When the Company grew to focus on corporate travel planning in addition to personal experiences, and added a new business partner, it needed a new name, fresh logo, and a more vibrant social media platform to share their story. I envisioned & designed the journey365 name, logo and tagline, launched new branded social media channels and wrote marketing content including this Linkedin blog, to drive awareness of the name change and generate interest.
Customer engagement significantly grew, with the brand launch reaching thousands and receiving hundreds of likes, comments & shares. The social media platform continues to generate bookings and interest.
